Announcing Byteconf Flutter: a free, fully remote Flutter conference

At the beginning of May, Bytesized went live with Byteconf React — a free, two-day remote conference focused on the React ecosystem. The Byteconf community has grown since then, in part due to the new focus on remote conferences. We are now represented by thousands of developers reading our weekly newsletter, hundreds of participants in our Discord server, and many more followers connected to our Youtube and Twitter.

Back in 2018, I organized Byteconf React Native, and like many of the attendees, I was a relative beginner to the framework. Since then, I've continued to scope out the world of mobile development, and in the last year, I've been particularly interested by Flutter – Google's mobile app development framework.

When Ryan Edge reached out to me at the end of last year about organizing a Flutter conference, I was, frankly, kind of unsure what it was! Since then, the Flutter community has continue to grow, and particularly on YouTube, I've seen a lot of fascinating and awesome Flutter tutorials. After we wrapped up Byteconf React, I reached out to Ryan and asked if he would be interested in co-organizing a Flutter conference with me.

Today, Ryan and I are super happy to announce Byteconf Flutter: a free, 100% remote Flutter conference. Tune in on August 14th for a full day of incredible Flutter and Dart talks, streamed right on YouTube!

Check out the conference website and RSVP for your free ticket! ➡️

I'm thrilled to be announcing the conference today, but it wouldn't be a complete event without a great group of attendees, and of course, an incredible selection of speakers. If you're a Flutter enthusiast, consider submitting a talk via our newly-opened Call for Papers (see the link at the end of this email) for the event – Byteconf is a great place to hone your speaking skills, and we'd love submissions from speakers of all experience levels and backgrounds.

If you're excited to attend Byteconf Flutter, you can help us put on an amazing conference by doing two things. First, RSVP and get your ticket using the link below - we'll add you to the list for the conference and you'll be first to know when we announce new speakers and updates for the conference. Second, share it with your friends! If you're on Twitter, you can retweet our announcement post (below), or if you want to put your own spin on the event, we'd love to see your tweets and retweet them to our audience.

(Tweet link will be added here when it goes live)

See you in August!

By the way, if you're interested in what Byteconf is all about, check out our past conferences – every talk from every past Byteconf is available to watch on our YouTube channel. Rad!
